In times of break-ups...

The hardest time in the life of an individual is when a loved one is gone. "Gone" however could mean in many ways. Death is "gone". A break-up in relationships is also "Gone" for many. And the effects of such situations have known to be devastating and sometimes even life changing for many in this world.

It is therefore very important to control one's emotions at the times of break-ups. It may be easier said than done. But if one gets completely bogged down by the memory of the person who has "left", it can only do you more bad than good.

Getting rid of the memory of the person who is "Gone" is therefore most crucial especially in the short term. Our human memory is short and if we can handle the break-up in the shorter term there are good chances of handling long term effects.

The best way to handle break-ups is to mentally prepare yourself in advance. This may sound very unreal but believe it or not, it can help you. One should always pray to God to help you to handle the worst should it come your way. This way you prepare yourself mentally and consider all options of helping yourself out in case such a predicament presents itself in front of you.

It is very important to be in the company of friends and family who will comfort you. talking to family and friends is essential to wriggle yourself out from the mental state of agony that catches up with you. Although it may be difficult, try to go out with friends and family at these times and always have a high opinion of yourself. A high opinion will always offset many negative complexes of inferiority and helplessness.

The first few days after the break-up are the most difficult to handle and once you are able to withstand the onslaught of the initial whiff of memories and trauma, you will turn out stronger and eventually emerge resistant to such thoughts.

The thought of suicide should always be shunned firmly. Suicide helps no one and besides being the most sinful thought, it is also a very selfish idea since the whole family has to bear the stigma of the unsavory episode and the family is left shell shocked. Suicide is also foolish as it serves no purpose. Rational thinking is very important at such times. Your life is given by God because he loves you. never forget that

Life is too precious and is given only once. We are very precious children in the eyes of our Lord and we should do everything to ensure that we do not let him down with our silly actions.

Finally, for all kinds of answers related to any situation in life, the BIBLE is the ultimate book. There is nothing that is not answered in the Bible. Be it from the past, the present or the future.

May the love of our Lord reign in every heart that is broken.
